AK QUESTION
One of my Ak's that I have. Lately when I shot it, the trigger stings my finger. I pulled the cover and it looks like the bolt is hitting the rear trunnion. The recoil spring is fairly new (only have about 1000 rounds on it).
So my question is, Has anyone had or herd of a AK doing this. If so what was the fix.

New guy with question here.
I have a milled receiver AK stamped as follows:

Arsenal Bulgaria

It's in excellent condition. I want to know the value of it or what I should expect to get for it if I want to sell it.

thats gonna be a WASR10, and after you pay shipping and pay a local FFl do transfer it. its still probably worth the money, i never regretted any AK i bought, and really, whats money anyways? yeah sure, you might be able to get it for $40 bucks less at a gun show because you dont have to ship it or transfer it, but you wouldent be getting ripped off, i think i would do it.

I bought one of those WASR10 AKs and when I examined it at my FFL I was so dissapointed in the quality I shipped it back without receiving it.
I've heard several members say they liked them, but the general consensus is that the WASR10 is on the bottom of the AK totem pole.
True they are only about $300.00 though. My preference is the
Bulgarian or the Arsenal, Inc. SAM 7. They have a milled receiver and the metallurgy, fit and finish is way superior. Arsenal of Bulgaria authorizes Arsenal, Inc., which is in the U.S., and Arsenal, Inc. actually manufactures the SAM 7 right here in the U.S.
So, you don't have to worry about BATFE req'd American made parts for legality. Parts should remain available as opposed to the several other types that will have parts importation banned. Resale value will hinge on these points.

The Romanian AKs aren't pretty and look rather...cheap.
But load the mag and it will shoot and shoot with no problems, even with Wolf ammo. I use a recoil buffer on mine to save the receiver.
The Yugo SKS are high quality rifles, using all milled parts.
You should get both. Can't go wrong for the money.0 -
The WASR-10 doesn't have dimples on the receiver to hold your mags centered. They put in pieces of metal to hold it center...sux. A drum wobbles quite a bit on those.
People have complained about the cast trigger group pieces. I didn't have a problem with mine. Some have had canted front sights, mine didn't.
They are worth about what they want.

Had one. Don't want anything that cheap exploding catridges close to my head. Kind of like buying new 2 ply tires.

wasr-10 shoot just fine,.. the finish and wood on them is what you get for a 300 dollar gun,.. but i love mine,..its my beater ak 0 -
the only AK you will hear about with function problems is the WASR... something to think about. 0 -
ive owned several WASR10's and never had a problem after the first several hundred rounds. sometimes you just need to break em in a little. hehe... throw em in the mud, toss em around, you cant find a better bang for the buck. ok, sure compared to a nice Arsenal, milled receiver, top dollar AK, the WASR-10's are a little ... ugly, but its an AK!! what do you expect?
