Is my Romanian SKS considered a C&R?

Been reading about the C& R status for Yugo SKS rifles.
From what I understand, you can't take the bayonent off without
affecting the C & R status, unless you take off the bayonent lug,
night sights and GL as well. Otherwise, the Men in Black come to your door and take away your birthday.

Does my Romanian SKS come under this C&R status? I hope not, as I want to take the bayonent off to save a bit of weight.

Can't believe we have gun laws that make having and not having a bayonent illegal at the same time!

    The ATF has a list of C&R eligible guns, I think the Rommy is on it but check for yourself to be sure

    Yes, the Rommy is a C&R. But, don't worry about it; you can cut off anything you want. You just can't transfer it to a C&R holder, it must go to an FFL when you dispose of it (in-state transfers depend upon your state).

    unless you bought it as a C&R on your own C&R lic. you can do anything you want to it,you just cant resale it as a C&R to a C&R collector on their lic. after you modify it.it will have to go through a FFL dealer like any other modern firearm.
