More C&R questions (I think these are new)

Well, seeing as how I'm a resident of the most anti-gun part of the country, it doesn't make much sense to spend $30 on a license, given that no one will ship to me. Additionally, I spend more time away from my "county of residence" than I spend in it. That being the case: Can I get a C&R for a location other than my permanent residence? If so, can the address on the license be a PO Box (I see the app. asks for a mailing address and a business address)? I would try calling the ATF, but seeing as how I spend 20 minutes to get a supervisor's voicemail, it seems a bit of a waste to me.

Any help would be much appreciated. Feel free to e-mail me, if need be. Thanks much.

    You are out of luck. The only way that you could get another address for C&R purposes would be if you moved, or if you had more than 1 residence.

    Yes, there are spaces for a mailing address & a business address on the application; keep in mind, the basic format was designed for dealers.

    It's hardly worth a year or two in federal prison just so that you get hold of a few "neat" guns not permitted by your state of residence. If you aren't happy, move.

    The guns aren't banned. The problem is that most suppliers are such chicken-turds that they're afraid to ship to Cook County, for fear of angering the Daley-machine. Seeing as how I don't live in Chicago, though, that shouldn't be of any concern. But I guess everyone has to be a gentleman and screw me over simply because I live near a group of jack-booted thugs.

    Aaaah, the Chicago-area problem!

    The wonderful mayor has sued so many companies that everyone now tries to avoid litigation.

    Things CAN get worse. There isn't a single gun shop left in the city of Baltimore, thanks to the anti-gun politicians. Anyone who thinks that the righteous will prevail have no idea how well entrenched the do-gooders are.

    Well, hopefully you've been granted Serenity.
