I am looking to pick one up. I found a really nice used one at a shop near me. I have her on hold at the moment. However, I have a few questions that their site couldn't answer for me.

The decocking lever is on the right side of the pistol. Shouldn't it be on the inside (left side) of it? I know some pistols in which they can swap to the opposing side, for left-handed shooters. Is this the case?

I was also looking at mags. She comes with 2 10rnd mags, and I was curious about larger ones. Will the 13rnd mags work without any problems?

Sorry about all the questions, I am fairly new to all of this.

    The HK USP could be configured for left or right handed shooters and with a safety, decock, or safety/decock. It depends on the variation this pistol was configured for.

    As far as the magazines go, it will work with either the 10 or 13 rd magazines.

    I got her today. I'm very excited. Just the pistol I wanted.

    My concern now, is how to flip the de-cocking lever back to the left side of the pistol... I chewed thru H&K's site a bit, and didn't seem to find anything...

    Any seasoned USP owners?

    You will need to purchase the correct module to place the decocker on the other side. If you look, HK's are classified by their variation number. You will need to acquire the correct variation module to make the switch. Check around, there are a couple of HK related sights out there, you might find a deal on a used one.

    I have three HK USP's and love them all. I think you will be happy with your new purchase.

    I have one of the older ones which I believe requires HK to make the change. I heard the newer ones can be done by the owners. If anyone knows different, please speak up.

    To change the control lever from the right side of the gun to the left side, you need a new lever. HK also makes an ambidextrous kit.
