CZ75 compact/Witness Compact Mags

I have a Compact CZ75 gun. I have been told and I have read that the witness mags work in the CZ guns and visa versa. I have purchased to magazines that the seller stated that they work in both guns. OK they do not. The mags do not lock in the CZ 75 compact gun. One mag requires that the magazine release be pushed before it will be inserted in the mag well. What is up with this? Please advise. [8D]

  They don't interchange. the witness is a loose copy of a CZ, not an exact copy. Usually you can put CZ mags in a witness but not the other way arround. I got burned when I bought my first CZ-75 by a seller that told me they were factory CZ mags. After some work with a vice and a BFH the worked. I am pretty sure the raduis on the front corners is a little differnt.
