What should I pay...................

wanted man
or rather, what do you think would be a fair price for a used B.A.R action in very good shape? (assuming I can even find one!?)
You may recall from an earlier post that I wanna have a semi-auto 25-06 built and I think I'm ready to start gathering components. I'll also be looking for a medium heavy, fluted barrel and a composite or possibly laminate stock/forearm (partial or fully inletted, does it matter?)
If anybody has any input for a guy getting ready to have his first "custom" gun built, I'M ALL EARS!!!

    YOU AREN'T GOING TO FIND AN 'ACTION', YOU WILL HAVE TO BUY A COMPLETE RIFLE (DAMAGED, OR WELL WORN?)

    I'm in the process of finding out that bare actions are a little hard to come by, 'specially in good condition.
    Any chance somebody here is a Certified Browning Dealer and can tell me if they are available from Browning, direct?
    ATF, you must be talking about complete Browning rifles, or I've ben looking in the wrong places???
    Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
