hk 41 whats it worth
found a hk41. all matching. 1/65 as year made. has not been reworked.
still has push pin hole. black stock and forearm, metal appears to be blued, but almost black. looks to be about 98%. someone said only 400 were allowed to be imported? Is this a rare find? is it worth $2000? any info will help.

Be CAREFUL here. With the flash-hider unscrewed the barrel of the HK-41 and HK-43 were only 15.9 inches long. When this was discovered (although WHY BATF didn't DISCOVER this situation before they OK'ed the HKs IMPORTATION, I DO NOT KNOW) B-A-T-F went around to all dealers who had sold 41s or 43s - got a list of owners and made the owners have the flash hiders permanently welded on. Two friends had this happen to their guns (one a 43, one had both a 43 and a 41).
Which to my mind imediately ruined the barrels as welding heat is prone to do.0
