Shotgun Worth?

I was wondering if any one knows anything about an old shotgun my uncle has. It is an A. FORGERON double barrel 12ga. It has a scalloped receiver and matching numbers on barrel and reciever. As far as we can tell it was made in Liege, Belgium. Any info would be great, thanks

    The name isn't familiar to me. You failed to share whether hammered or hammerless, fluid steel or damascus, percussion or breech loader. No mention of condition either.

    Best bet is another clunker from a century ago that's only safe to display. Second guess is a somewhat better gun, but it won't matter as its reputation will be tarnished by the first.

    The most unlikely case is a fine gun (and there were such) made in Belgium. Depending on all the information you didn't supply such an item could carry value and collector interest.

    Sry for the lack of information Nord, the gun is damascus, hammered, percussion, and in very good working condition. The stock is very nice I believe it is an "English Style" stock, very nice looking wood. Thanks for the reply Nord!

    Sry the barrels are not damascus, typo on my part.

    Still not really enough to give you what you want, but I few things I can share without fear of being too wrong.

    Percussion guns generally are less popular than breech loaders with collectors. Thus, they suffer in value by comparison.

    If your gun is stamped in english, then it's almost certainly a trade item made for export. Again, not a good thing as a rule.

    Last and not least... If you have a quality piece, you already know it without question. The fit, the finish, the balance. The gun will "sing" and I'm sorry to say that I'll bet against it.
