CZ550 american safari magnum?????/

How much do you guys think the stock on these rifles weigh....I know, an odd question but im wondering howe much weight saving there would be using a mcmillan synthetic stock that weighs 2.5lbs if any.....contact cz a coupla of times and they haven't gottne back to me.....

    I have a classic style maple stock blank that I weighed on my digital scale. I figure that this is close to what the folks at CZ are using. It weighed in at 2lb2oz with no added bedding, butt pad or swivels. So I figure it would be a draw, weight wise. Depending on where and how you wanted to use it you might decide that synthetic is the way to go for accuracy or durability reasons. You say this is a safari style rifle stock, but you don't say what caliber. If you are talking 338winmag or bigger, heavier may be a good thing.
