Sten Conversions

The idea that the Sten requires a undersized bolt and receiver to convert to semi auto is not correct macanically. As long as the disconnector is able to move to the left and out of the way of the lug on the bolt the Sten will still fire full auto and cutting down the bolt and changing the size of the tube will not do it. If the Feds rules require you to have a certian number of non standard Sten parts and the bolt and the undersized receiver are two of them, along with a complete trigger modidication to semi auto completing the number of parts to make it legal, I could go along with the concept.


If you want to build a legal Sten, dig for the info to make it legal in your State. Visit the web sites that are selling them, call and pick their brains, find forums that will furthur your quest.

    Rockloc.com have the closed bolt conversion kit with the required parts to build a legal semi auto to Federal requirements. Your State may not consider the rifle legal no matter what you do so check it out before you spend your hard earned dough.
