Ruger pistol ?'s
Looking for a new 9mm, and thinking about the ruger p89 or p95. I know they are cheap, but I do like them and they are decent quality. Any opinions on which is better? Also, why is there a manual safety version and a de-cock only version? Which would be better? Pros, cons and opinions are appreciated.

i have both the kp89(stainless) and the p95 in 9mm, both are decock models, the only real difference between the 2 is the p89 is bigger,both are really fine guns ,, the p95 is a nice gun it shoots very well , i don't have any problems with it except for when it gets dirty at about 100 rounds with out a cleaning it will start to hang up , give it a good cleaning and its really to go .. if you get one go with the decock version , the reason i say this is because with the decocker , when you decock it the lever comes back up and the gun is ready to fire in double action , with the safety model , if you put the safety on its in a down postion , so you must first flick the safety off or up , which doesn't feel right before you can shoot it,, personally i think the safety model is a good gun to get you KIlled in a fight,, i would not have the safety model , there is no need for it , once you decock the gun it is now a double action unless you manually cock the hammer back , so why screw with the safety lever staying in the on position 0 -
I personally don't like the decock, as it comes awful friggin close to striking the round, and that's not something I would want.
