Ruger Vaquero holster

I want to carry a Ruger Bisley Vaquero 5 1/2" for self defense. I'm looking for a "modern" style leather holster to carry it high on or behind the right hip. I am NOT interested in "Western" style holsters normally associated with single action revolvers. I recall seeing holsters like this in early Bianchi catalogs, but not recently. I appreciate any of your recommendations regarding the carry of this revolver and sources for makers. Thanks!

  IrisM, I have a Vaquero in .45lc, and it is a great gun, but why would you want to carry it for self defense? There has to be so many other good choices.

  Go to www.mernickleholsters.com in the conceal carry section (first link on the top left). Look for the ps6-sa. IMO, the finest rig available for your intended purpose. Make sure to get a proper belt to support that smokewagon...
