rossi lever 92 src

My dad bought a rossi lever action model 92 src. It is the 20in, 38/357. I have found some info on this rifle but most info has been for a Puma model that has an external safety switch. This rifle doesn't have the name Puma or a safty. The rifle has stamped "Amadeo Rossi" is Amadeo and older model than Puma becasue it doesn't have the safety? Also it has the sadel loop, and on the same side of the revciever it has a couger emblem coin or some other animal. Has anyone come across one of these before, thanks for any info.
