Can someone help me please
My uncle has a gun he got from his father and he wants to know approx how much its worth.
Gun Discription:
on one side of the barrel is says 38 S. & W. Special CTG, The other side says SMITH & WESSON.
Down by the Trigger just above and to the Right it says made in usa Marcas Registradas Smith& wesson springfield, mass.
to the left of the trigger it has the smith and wesson trademark and says reg. U.S. Pat.OFF
on the bottom of the handle it says C 319577
i can e-mail people pictures if you need to know what it looks like i just dont know how to get pictures on here yet

Not a thing to do with the pistol, but if you keep asking, someone on this forum will help you put your photos on this site.

Well it's a Smith & Wesson revolver, chambered for the 38 Special cartridge (NOT the 38 S&W cartridge).
Things you haven't told us are things like Blue steel, Nickle Plated or Stainless. Barrel length. 5 shot or 6. fixed or adjustable sights. Single or double action (do you have to cock the hammer for each shot, or can you simply pull the trigger each time).
Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.0 -
ok just cuz i have a gun sittin in front of me doesn't mean i know anything about them, i have no idea what its made out of, all i know is its a gun or revolver i think is what it might be called it holds 6 bullets in a spinny round thing like the guns you would see in a western movie i know nothing bout guns what so ever so i wont know if its nickel or blue steel if it doesn't say it on the gun i wont know, you can just pull the trigger you dont need to pull the other thing back. and if the sight thing is the raised metal piece on the end top of the barrel it doens't move so its fixed im assuming, i dunno how to measure the barrel but i can guess i suppose looks like its bout 5 or 6 inches long if someone posts the pics for me that would help alot or if they could just tell me how i can do it im better with computers than i am guns 0 -

Appears to be a Military and Police, nickel plated revolver, possibly an airweight model, manufactured before 1957. From the photos and your description, thats about all I care to guess.
Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see !!
