erma/werke ep25

good morning all,

came across the above yesterday, 6.35/.25, made in germany, sn051xx.

unable to find out much about the pea shooter. it appeard to be a quality pistol/wood grips, shoots/cycles perfectly.

any help appreciated. thanks in advance. a good sunday to all,

    I believe the EP25 was made in the 1960's. Nice little gun but not a lot of collector interest. Retails in the $100-$150 range.

    this pistol is hamerless, erma in circle logo on grips, magazine even with butt but otherwise a close picture. thanks,

    I have an EP-25 and it is a great litte pistol. It was made in Germany between 1922-1927 (at the latest), sales continued until the 1930s. Many were exported to the US during the 1920s. 183,000 were produced, highest serial number is 182,625 (don't know how that works out). It was a semi-popular police pistol in Europe in the .32 and .380 caliber versions. Usually refered to as "Ortgies" pistol, named after its designer. I like mine...good luck with yours.     The EP 25 is a very well made hammerless 25 There is only one screw in it's construction. The grips click and lock into place with no screws. The only screw in the gun holds a spring in pace in the takedown mechanism. It was made also imported (or a copy of it) was imported by RG as the RG-42 (the only decent gun they ever imported)

    good morning incarceration/wipala,

    thanks both for the posts. that is more along the lines i figured. the picture is the same, even down to two of the three stamps top right on slide. the story goes that it was brought back from germany during ww2 but we all know how stories go/change with time.

    the ammo that came with it is stamped 6.35 with red on primer/around the bullet

    The 6.35 is the European version of our 25 caliber. As long as its "clean" it should be ok to shoot....nambu
