ASM parts

Looking for a mainspring for a .44 blackpowder (Colt). Already checked Numrich (sold out) and GB.

    Good luck! Ever since ASM closed up shop, its been nearly impossible to find parts. Try contacting EMF (http://www.emf-company.com/404.html). They use to sell ASM guns and maybe they can point you to someone who might still have parts. I tried to get parts for my ASM manufactured Navy Arms 1872 Colt Opentop from Navy Arms and they didn't have any parts left for ASM guns. I ended up using a modified Wolff main spring they offer for a Colt SAA and for EMF and Uberti Colt clones. Had to do a little filing and fitting to get it to fit right, but it works.

    The only real guns are wheel guns!

    do a search for VTI gunparts as well.they have some parts for older and discontinued guns.nice folks.

    These guys are right. ASM is a goner. Its amistake to buy the left over guns unless you can find a source for parts. Dixie Gun works is your best bet these days. VTI might be helpful also.
    Ask the folks at Dixie about the problem. You may have to bend here or hammer there but you'll get parts.

    Armi San Marco, was formerly Jaeger - as I remember, was taken over by AWA and these parts are now assembled here in the USA, but are, as I am told, still made in Italy. Parts are stillmanufactured by the same production staff, the change being only management and no ASSEMBLY of complete guns now performed in Italy. I'd try reaching American Western Arms and see if they can help. Failing that, I have a sneaking feeling the old Armi San Marco PH # in Italy would still work....perhaps THEY could still help?
