I just bought a rifle from a non FFL holder here on gunbroker. My FFL is under the impression that the seller must send it through an FFL to him. Is this true? Or are rifles okay to send from non-FFL to FFL? Please include where to find proof to back up your reply, it's not that I don't trust you, it's that my FFL needs hard evidence.Thanks-

you don't say what caliber, but if its 50cal. its probably an 1870 allin conversion of an 1864 musket or carbine...(pg33-34;aug.'73;american rifleman). the "cowboy hat" is WIERD...are you sure its not an eagle? there should also be an inspector's stamp some where on the left side of the stock. with the initials i could check the date in the dixie g'works cat...(i should get a real life...) good luck, and let us know what you find.

music madness i dont see caliber anywhere on rifle but i think its 45-70 not certain. and i think the cowboyhat might be an eagles head. no stamp on stock. stock is well worn though. was broken and repaired long ago it looks like, just behind the trigger guard. and also has multiple notches cut into the top and bottem of butt stock 0
