P38 or BYF 43 Mauser

He adds a correction saying it is not a P38 but rather a BYF 43 Mauser. Yet one of the pictures shows both on the slide. What's the difference?

He is confused. It IS a P38, as you said. P38's were made by 3 manufacturers, & the byf code indicates it was made by Mauser. And, of course, it was made in 1943.
