I heard of Tungsten in light bulbs, but what he heck is nytrilium? I wonder how fang faced ammo would feed in an auto that was pickie about ammo? Everything better be polished up pretty good.

This product should be marketed under the umbrella corporation of RONCO. This stuff is written in the effusive style as that carnie saleman on TV.

Yes, powdered tungsten and other alloys and plasticizers can be compressed and sintered to produce a bullet with a hard outer core, but a soft frangible interior.
Yes, these bullets produce very wide, but shallow wounds.
No, they are not worth the price.

Its a bunch of marketing hype for the gullible. "Anti-terrorist rounds"? LMFAO. . .first of all I don't expect to be shooting too many terrorists today, and the ones who do expect it probably aren't packing those rounds!
I could take out a 550lb boar with a .22LR if I hit it in the right spot. Would I try that? Not unless I was starving to death and that's all I had. Would I try it with a fancy schmancy $2.50 per round 9mm? No.
Nytrillium isn't an element, its some proprietary compound that these bozos made up their own fancy name for. (Probably a mixture of powdered tungsten and lead). Pre-fragmented bullets have been around for a long, long time. There was one called the Glaser "Safety" slug, but I dont know if that one is still made. Anyway, the point is these disintegrate when they hit anything hard, so they greatly reduce the risk of overpenetration (say shooting through a wall or aircraft cockpit into the engine!).
A 185 grain bullet at 1150 fps will give you 543 foot pounds of energy, but those ballistics are nearly identical to the Remington .45ACP +P golden sabers, which cost under $1 each. If I wanted those ballistics, I'd stick to the Remingtons.0 -
