32 spc value

I have a Winchester Model 94 32spc S/n 24463xx. Blueing only has slight wear on sharp edges of receiver the rest is like new. No rust or pitting in barrelor anywhere on gun. Wood is oil finish with no nicks, dings or cracks. There is a 2.5x Leopold extended eye relief scope mounted in front of the action. When would this rifle have been manufactured and of what value would it hold.

    Hello BC Hounds,

    Your Model 94 Carbine was manufactured circa 1960/61. Are there holes drilled in the barrel to mount the scope? If so, the collecter value has been destroyed, and it is a $250 shooter (scope value not included).

    I don't know for the life of me why people put scopes on these guns, other wise it is a great find. You should consult the "blue book" for prices, however.

    Believe BertH, the blue book is pretty close to useless for values.

    Hokkmike, you are a young guy right? The day will come when you can no longer focus on the front sight.

    Thanks Bert,

    Took rifle to a local GS. He said the mount is a Williams mount and the forarm band is the only thing that was drilled and tapped, the barrel was not. The back screw for the mount was in a post that is inserted in the factory rear sight dove tail. Not really sure if that make much different or not.

    Yes, it does make a big difference. ANY modification to an original pre-64 Winchester is a negative thing. The fact that the rear sight was removed, and the barrel band was drilled, is a negative thing.
