270 reduced recoil ?
I hear that there is a light recoil 270 that is good for200 to 300 yards does anyone know about these and were i might get them. My 9yr old is going deer hunting and he has been shooting 22-250. I would like to send him with a little more bullet. the 22-250 has never let me down on our texas deer but my dad is taking him to a diff. ranch than we norm. hunt and is scared the ranch owner will frown on the 22-250. He has already taken 2 deer with this rifle clean. I may let him shoot the full load 270 he should only have to pull the triger once.

i guess you could always take him to the range and see how it reacts to him. then go can decide if you want to invest in a muzzle brake, magna-porting, recoil pad for the buttstock, etc. etc.

Remington has a managed recoil load in .270, I just looked them up in Cabela's. You can go to the Remington website for more info on these reduced recoil loads. 0 -
