Anyone had a squib with Wolf ammo?

I haven't had any problems with Wolf yet but I had a Silver Bear 7.62x39 with a loose crimp or something the other day. Bullet came out of the case when it was loading and wouldn't let the gun go into battery. I pulled the bolt back to eject the round and the next round jammed the bullet into the barrel a little. Then I pulled the bolt back to find that the first case had dumped all its powder into the gun (messy). Knocked the bullet out and continued shooting. Anyone had a squib or bad round with any of the Russian ammo? Also, what's your experience with American ammo like PMC in AK's and SKS's?

    Nope,never really used anything else in my SKS or AK. Love Wolf, especially for $41.00 per 500 in .223 and $36 for 7.62x39.[8D]

    I ran some Lapua brass cased ammo through mine. It worked fine, but I think it is a severe case of the ammo being better than the gun. It did leave a lot of shaved brass in the receiver, and beat the snot out of the brass.

    PMC= American? Don't think so. All I have ever sen has been Korea.

    All ammo manufacturers have a bad round get through every once in a while, even the big boys. I saw a Federal 45ACP round without a powder charge. And a Remington 30-30 round with the bullet seated backwards (now that looked weird!)

    The manufacturers want to know when you have a problem with thier ammo. You need to give them a telephone call. Especailly what they want to know is the lot number stamped on the box plus where and when you bought it. It helps them track down bad lots and do recalls before it gets sold.

    Alright, maybe I should have phrased that as "Non-Russian" ammo[;)] Yes PMC is usually Korean mfg, maybe I was thinking UMC, whatever they have at Wallyworld

    I want to know where to get 7.62x39 anywhere near $36 for 500!
    Can't find it in stock at most places right now, let alone that cheap.

    I've never had a problem with Wolf 7.62X39, but my son had some Wolf .45 and several of them just went pffft. Fortunately, they were weak enough we questioned them. The bullets wouldn't clear the barrel. I'm glad we didn't fire a second one behind them. Now he has nearly a full case of .45 that will probably get dumped. He was trying them in his "glawwk" and I was using my S&W revolver. We had to drive the bullets out with a fiberglass rod.[xx(]

    I have used Wolf ammo in just about everything that I own, that shoots, and have not had any significant malfunctions. Of course there have been the odd round that didn't do what you thought it would, i.e.. Cook off at the full power that it should have, but whatever ammo you use, there are going to be functions, of one sort or another. It is just the nature of the beast! Mass producing creates occasional screw-ups from time to time, just a fact of life!

    I bought a case of Wolf .223. Best groups went 4" at 100 yards. Tried in two of my rifles and my neighbor tried in his. No better !!I sold to one of the Rambo types who just wants to make noise.

    I've never had a problem with Wolf, as far as squibs go (and I've fired tens of thousands of rounds of it, in .40 and 9mm), but I did get one .40 once that had the bullet seated upside down. Looked really strange.

    go to AR15.com if you want to read about Wolf and their problems. I have shot it, its not super accurate. I have my gas block turned down for bench shooting and lower recoils and many Wolf's do not cycle, while all other brands do fine. Silver Bear works fine, they are both Russian but S. Bear is not Wolf.
