Need help for DOM for a Smith&Wesson

Model 19-4, I just bought it this morning. Is there a site I can go to and find the date of Manf. Serial #48K6411. Thanks.

  I believe the 48K would be 1979, or there abouts.

  You can call S&W customer service and run the serial number they will give you an exact date and how it left the factory.
