Value of 1917 enfield

90% metal finish, light rust on buttplate, and bolt handle. Bore has sharp rifling, with light rust and a nice crown, I haven't cleaned the bore yet. wood has minor nick and marks, one small drying crack at heel. all cartouches are clear and stock is unsanded. All parts are marked eddystone or "E" that I see, except for the cocking piece which is marker "R". Missing bolt stop assembly.

For the most part it looks like a nice unmolested P-17.

I checked the auction and didn't see any with comparable finish left.

    The U.S. Model 1917 *not P-17* as manufactured was blued and did
    not have any cartouches. The tip of the stock was marked with the
    manufacturing facility, either E, R or W. The stock was stamped
    in front and back of the TG with an eagle and sometimes a number
    on the Eddystone. Any other stock markings indicated that it went through an arsenal for rebuild or inspection. You will need to address
    this, metal finish-blue was original, parkerizing means rebuild.
    Also if the rifle is import marked. The CMP sold a slug of 17's
    within the last year. A good shooter will sell from $300.00 and
    increase sharply if in original condition. May wish to check out

    3GM-K on the left side of the stock. 9A behind the trigger guard, P on the grip.

    It is a dark Grey-Green color so I can assume a rework? Bolt however is Blue.

    I gave $150 so I guess I am Ok.
