Garand Scope Mount

I see the S & K and B-Square "no modification" scope mounts for the M1 Garand and want to know how solid they are and if "no modification" also means no damage to the gun.
I bought a B-Square for a Mauser & it was not at all satisfactory. Never would stay put & the aluminum body just would not allow for screwing things down tight. I bought a B-Square for a 1903 Springfield and it was rock solid - made from iron. The S & K I have for an Enfield is all steel & solid.
Does anyone have experience with these mounts on the Garand?

    I'm looking for a particular scope mount for my Garand.

    The mount I'm looking for requires holes to be drilled and tapped into the left side of the receiver and its available with either a Leupold or Weaver style base. I've only seen them online and unfortunately I can't remember the address or find the website. So, if anyone knows anything about this style of mount and where I could purchase one, I'd greatly appreciate it.

    By the way, I'm not worried about decreasing the collector's value of my Garand by drilling holes in its receiver because it's built on a CAI receiver. A very well built CAI if I may add, one of the few that I've found.

    In my search for scope mounts, I've found two that I think would serve my purpose. One is available through B-Square and the other through Fulton Armory. I haven't heard much about either of these two mounts and any information on them will be helpful.

    I have been unable to find any current manufacturer of commercial mounts for the M1 rifle. Mounting a scope on this rifle has always been a problem. During WWII, even the War Dept found that its armorers couldn't d&t the receivers on M1's, so, for production of the M1C rifle, they sent the entire rifle to the mount manufacturer (Griffin & Howell) for installation. They soon gave up & switched to barrel mounting (the M1D rifle).

    In any case, despite your defense of the CAI, I still believe that they are unsafe to fire. The maker couldn't even get the dimensions correct; what makes you think that he hardened it properly? With the .30-06 cartridge, this rifle generates > 50,000 cpu chamber pressure, 2" in front of your face. I will be willing to reconsider my opinion if you can tell me that you have tested the hardness of your receiver with a Rockwell fixture, & can give us the measurements. Otherwise, you will be risking your vision & your life every time you pull the trigger. Is it worth it? Think about it.

    I've owned it and have been shooting it for 7 years now and never had any problems with it. I've also had a gunsmith, who specializes in Garands and M14's, tear id down and had him go through everything and he said it was a decent rifle.

    I've seen some bad CAI Garands and mine doesn't compare
