Pellet rifle

The starlings are back. I would like a good 17 cal pelet rifle, with scope. What is a good brand and ype to purchase? Thank you.

    it says on some pellet boxes that you can use them for varmiting but i think it would be a bad idea even if the .177 cal pellet is going almost as fast as a .22 LR,could you hunt squirrles with this?

    Gabo has a sweet little package for about $70.00. Comes with a rinky dink scope and all. One cock of the barrel gives 600 or so FPS. Adios starlings, grackles etc. I bought mine for my grandson at Rick's Sporting Goods.

    I really like my pellet rifle but when I looked at it all it says in English is Shanghai.

    crosman 760 if you don't mind pumping it up. i had a stainless synthetic one with the little crosman scope that came with it. i thought i was cool, but the birds hated me.

    I'm not an expert, but i did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

    I have an RWS Diana that is great. It is pricy, but is very close to a .22 . I bought mine out of the bargain bin at Cabelas, it had a small nick in the stock which doesnt bother me one little bit.

    The Chinese ones you can find on GB for usually under $50 are very good shooters. Have one in .17 and .22. Not pretty to look at, but one shot killers on rabbits, so should be really good for your starlings. I put a cheap Wally World scope on them.

    The daisy powerline models are very good. One pump lever. with a five round clip or single round clip.

    No scope needed.. just the iron sites with a wadcutter pellet..

    I have a German 177 air rifle by weihrauch Id sell. It has a dovetailed receiver for rimfire type scope rings. Its deadly on starlings. Ill take $85.

    Beeman R-9 air rifle; Bushnell Banner or Trophy air gun scope.
    Smart choice would be to purchase it in 20 cal.; you'll pick up an extra 10 yards or so. Devastating air rifle for the money. On sale for $200, and another $100 for the scope, base & rings. Best air gun trigger out there; and probably better than most factory rifle triggers. Almost universally accepted as the best buy in the air gun circles. This is a barrel break spring gun.

    Gamo model 220 Hunter. 1000 FPS. Very accurate but a heavy trigger with lots of creep. I did kill 2 squirrels with it the other day. One shot each using Beeman hollow point pellets. They dropped like a rock. I think I paid $150 for the rifle/scope combo. Dealer price.
