Value of Ithaca LSA-65
Wondering if somebody can give me an approximate value of an Ithaca LSA-65. Caliber is 30-06. Made in Finland using a Sako action (I think). The gun has no minor pitfalls. Wood has minor dings but no major flaws. The bore is in good shape. No rust or pits, but some blueing wear on the floorplate.

I believe the action is by Tikka. Tikka is an excellent quality gunmaker and the action is a very good and smooth one. The LSA 65 should be worth between $350 and $450 in my opinion, If buying, try to stay around $350 and you'll do well. I love my .308 Ithaca (Tikka). It is one of the best shooting bolt action rifles I own. Better quality than Remington, Savage, Ruger, or post 64 Winchesters as far as I'm concerned.

"The Tikka 595 and 695 hunting rifles are well made, attractive and accurate. And they are also a remarkably good value. Their name derives from the city of Tikkakoski, Finland, where Tikka firearms were manufactured prior to 1989. For several years in the early '70s, Ithaca imported Tikka rifles, which were sold under the model names LSA 55 (short action) and LSA 65 (long action). Actions of current rifles are similar to those of the LSA models with just a few minor design details. Currently Tikka rifles are manufactured by Sako, in Riihimaki, Finland."

I bought one on GB about this time last year for $400. It is a 30-06. I really like it; a really good buy for the money.
