Compensated/Compensator on Glock's

Just looking for input on the compensated glocks, more specifically the G31 .357 cal. Ive heard only a little about comp's and im looking to learn more before i buy...

  I have both the 22 and the 22C. If you place them both on the bench loaded with the same ammo and pick them up and fire a string alternately you will notice quit a differnce in the muzzel flip/recovery time. It works. I guess the only draw back is in close quarters drills when the blast from the ports can hit your clothing and/or body.
