Marlin Scope
A while back I picked up an old model(pre safety) Marlin 336 in 30-30 caliber. It was almost unused condition. Still had a sticker on stock that said it was American walnut. It has a Marlin 4x32 scope. Scope is Model 425A. I have never seen a Marlin scope before this. Who made them [?]

Anybody know anything about a Marlin target type scope probably built in the 60's with 4 to 6 power with fixed crosshairs and exterior adjustments (like Lyman target)? Value etc. 0 -

Most of Marlin's scopes were fixed power versus variable power, but the four variable power scopes that are listed, were 1.5x8, 3x7, 3x9... none of them were 4x6. The Micro-Power 3x9 was in production from 1965-1969, the Model 500 3x7 from 1969-1978, the Model 800 1.5x8 from 1969-1978, and the Model 900 3x9 from 1969-1978.
I believe that what you are referring to is either the No. 1 or No. 2 Telescopic Sight that Marlin produced in the 1930s. The No. 1 has a three-point non-click adjustable rear mount, and was 4X. The No. 2 is identical except that it had a four-point click adjustable rear mount. Values for the No. 1 and No. 2 run from $150 - $300 (must be 100% complete with the mounts to get the upper figure).
