Crimson Trace laser grips for S&W J frame

I recently purchased a S&W model 637 .38spl+p to replace my current carry weapon. I did notice that S&W is offering this same gun with the Crimson Trace laser grips. However, the grips looked oversized and because of concealability, I chose to order the gun with regular grips. After researching Crimson Trace website, I found there is a smaller version of the grip for my gun. They look very similar to the original grips. The only drawback is that the smaller set does not have a master control switch, as the larger set has. Therefore, anytime the gun is gripped, the laser is on. I am curious if any of you have had experiance with these grips and if it would be a mistake to get the smaller set without the master control switch? I am concerned about this because of battery life. I do realize that if I am going to use laser grips, I would want the laser on every time I grip the gun. The problem is how touchy is the button that activates the laser? I have not actually held a gun with these grips. Only know what I am seeing on the internet.

    I have an aluminum Chief with the earlier Crimson Trace grips that look similar to the early Uncle Mikes grip. Prior to that I had Uncle Mikes grips that fit me better. I wish they could install the Crimson Trace in the rubber Uncle Mikes grips. Anyway, I like the laser feature.
    You can relax the button actuating finger when you shoot but I'd rather have a switch. My battery hasn't been replaced since I bought it at least three to five years ago.

    The button is not super sensitive at all, it takes a bit of pressure to fully acuate the button,like it was said before relax your middle finger and no laser, love my crimson trace grips on my J frame, good luck...
