i did a conversion thing on the intewrnet i just found on google and i got, .5516
NEF 20 ga.
western field 12, double
marlin 70pss 22lr
mauser 98 7X57
mauser 98 .2430 -
IIRC 14mm = 36GA.
In a pistol or rifle it is normaly considered a DD (Distructive Device), unless the specific cartridge has been designated as a sporting round.
Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.0 -
About cal .55 or 28 gage/bore. 0 -
If you want to do your own conversions then, 1 inch = 25.5 millimeters

I believe this is the same as a 410 shotshell. 0 -
Oooooooook, 25.4mm = 1 inch. But .5 is close enough to make a "rough" calculation.

As far as the Ga conversion goes 14mm = 36ga (smaller than a 28ga and larger than a 410), found this on that "other" auction site http://www.othersitehere.com/search/displayitem.cfm?itemnum=6583383
Discription as follows "36 gauge / 14mm shotshell (c277n30-134) This size is uncommon and rather obscure - purely a European thing as far as I know. This specimen has a `JUPITER 14 m/m' headstamp, load of #7 shot (another oddity) and would be in EX condition but for the corrosion which has broken out on several areas of the brass."
BTW, if you want to get technicial, it's closer to 25.39mm/inch[}:)]
