Metal silhouettes
My long-distance target days are over, but I have an almost complete set of metal animal figures--varying from 5 1/2" to 2 1/2". I tried Goolging to see if shooters still used them--found no trace. (May be poor searching.) Would like to know if they are of any value, still in use or has target shooting gone the way of swinging targets?

Hello yes people still shoot steel Silhouettes. However a full set usually includes 20 targets 5 each for different distance.It also depends on what yours" are made of some "I believe yours are made for22 cal rimfire only" full size are larger and made of high quality steel . Value ?? put up for auction and see what they bring but shipping will be almost as much as targets price. 0 -
ya they look like .22cal , chickens at 25m, pigs at 50m, turkeys at 75m, and rams at 100 meters ,, if I remember right,,, shipping will be the killer [:(] 0 -
It appears you have 3 of each, your turkeys aren't IHSMA (sp) regulation-could be NRA style, and they look well used.
If they were mine; I'd simply tack a hinge to the backside, epoxy a magnet to the bottom of the hinge, attach a pull string, and be able to reset them after toppling them.
As others have indicated, shipping will be very expensive.

Thanks a lot for the responses. I wish I'd had the hinge idea a lot sooner would have saved miles of walking to put back up. You're right about the shipping, they weigh a ton. Ok, into the garage sale bin, with regret. 0 -
See if there is a Craigslist site in your area.they have llsts by city. You'll get hundreds of people looking at them that way and no shipping....and no charge to list.
craigslist.org put 'em in the 'sporting' section.
