Bolt problem

Recenty recieved an older Remington mod 700 bdl,in 22-250,Just trying to clean it up a bit and cant seem to get bolt out ,Any of u experts tell me the secret?Thanks, Paul[?]

  a button just forward of the trigger(make sure the rifle is empty). press and bolt should release

  AKA Rotten,
  Now that you have the bolt out, it's a good time to strip that bolt down and clean the inside really good. A lot of stuff creeps into them over the years, and will cause a misfire if left untreated.

  Please remember to LIGHTLY lube the back of the locking lugs (Those protrusions at the front of the bolt) after cleaning and before replacing bolt.
  Galling those lugs/locking shoulders will just ruin your whole day...
  
  Also clean the bolt recess in the front of the receiver.
