Colt Defender .40 S&W

I have a Colt Defender Series 90 Model 07040D in a .40 S&W. It holds 7 rds and has a 3" barrel. Matte Stainless slide with electroless nickel coated aluminum receiver. It is in Execllent condition and had around 200-250 rounds fired through it. I was looking to sell it, but have no clue what it is worth. I tried to look it up on the internet but I keep only finding it in a .45. Is the .40 S&W Defender rare? And what would it be worth?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, lagerlover69

    Welcome to the forum. I'm suprised no one has answered you. We usually try to make "newbies" welcome. I personally don't have the ability to look up firearms for pricing. Sorry. Many others do and I'm sure someone with respond with some info soon.
    As far as I know the Defender in 45auto is much more common than a 40S&W. Thats about the extent of my knowledge on these.

    well, the 40 was mfg. in 1999 only. there is no premium for it, as of now. 100% $695, 98% $575, 95% $475

    I'm not an expert, but i did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

    Thanks to all of you for the info. I didn't realize that I would get resonses that fast. Mario3327, Thanks for directing Ursua to me, he did contact me via email. I just need to decide if I'm going to list it as an auction or just sell it direct. What's best?
