Legally convert a 1022 to full auto?

Does anyone know where I can buy a legally converted Ruger 1022?

It is legal to own in my state.. and I love my Ruger 1022.. but I thought I would be nice to also own a fully automatic Ruger 1022. Can you buy a full auto 1022 or is it something you have to have built? If so where can it be done legally?

I see books for sale showing how to convert the 1022 but since I am waiting for my FFL to clear.. I dont want to have anything illegal in my inventory.

There are a few registered FA 10/22's out there, they aren't cheap though. I saw one on {elsewhere} awhile back.

I seem to remember J&G sales in AZ listing some class III rugers last year. You could contact them and find out what Hoops you need to jump thru in order to qualify for your state.

You cannot have one "built". If it hasn't already been built & registered, you cannot convert a semi-auto to full-auto.

I don't doubt that there are books showing how to convert a 10/22 to full-auto. I suspect that all have a disclaimer telling you that actually making such a conversion would get you 10 years in federal prison.

Any GOOD class III dealer should be able to help. Mine had one a week or so ago. Good luck,

There is a full auto 10/22 registered by International Firearms on this link. Please scroll down the list and read about it, but you'll have to be fast - even at $10,000 these rifles are scooped up very quickly.

or you could just buy the gat system for it..little crank handle that fires the rifle 4 time per crank.. extremly fun and still legal in most states..

As the others have said. If it was not registered before 1986(I think?) you are out of luck. That's why existing ones cost so much.

Check out SSK Industries in Ohio. JD can make you one with no problems, and he also does silencers for them.

Unless JD has a time machine, JD cannot legally make them for a civilians.
