Bayonet Officinatos

I'm trying to obtain info. on a recently acquired "Brass knuckle/Bayonet". The blade is 6-5/8" long and the piece along with the scabard appears to be brass/bronze material. Markings: U.S. L.F.&C. 1918. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Any value thoughts? Thanks.

  Sounds to Me like a 1918 Trench Knife....Never heard of a Bayonet made By L.F&C....Post a Photo that shows where it attached to a Rifle.....

  Like the Capt. says, trench knife.
  Are both hooks on the metal scabbard? Blade sharpened?
  Last one I had I sold for 350.00
  Prices higher now for a fine speciman.

  Reading your post again. The blade should be 6 3/4" Original cond. should have a blackened blade and knucks.
