DEMRO TAC 1 Carbine

Any info on value and availability of a Demro tac1 45 cal carbine would be greatly appreciated[8D] This one has a combination lock (Sesame type) on the side. Is it at all collectable? YOU GUYS OUT THERE ARE GREAT This board is a real life line to the real worl of gun and stuff, thanks so much to those of you who took the time to reply, it is sincedrely appreciated. Thanks for tyhe feedback the dollar value is greatly appreciated,mine will be up for sale.

  Welcome to GB. I have not seen one of these for sale for some time now. The laast price i remember was $450.00. As with most out of production guns the gun blue book does not give an accurate representation of real worth. My 2 cents. [8D]

  I have owned one of these for about 15years. It fires from an open bolt and was also made in a full auto version. The frame is marked 45acp & 9mm. I have both caliber conversions and found it to be a very functional weapon. There is a mag well insert for the 9mm which uses sten mags. The 45acp uses grease gun mags. The bolt head and barrels are changed for the respective caliber.

  All Demro TAC-1 carbines were furnished with 3 safety systems. Manual, grip, & 3 number combination lock ( as a means of preventing unauthorized use). Originally designed for LEO use they have a quick detachable rear stock for close quarters use and were full auto. The civilian model (semi auto) is exactally the same except for the fire control group. As for being collectable I think that would depend on the individual interest, but being banned several years ago because of firing from an open bolt, having a detachable stock, availability to change caliber, & high capacity detachable magazine makes mine a keeper. I have only seen one other of these at a gun show and the owner wanted $1200 without the 9mm changeover. Mine is not for sale.

  Here is the Demro XF 7 WASP,m the TAC 1 had a wood stock similar to Thompson Sub Gun which was main difference in appearance to the WASP shown
