AK-47 Kits ?

I had heard about AR-15 kits, but someone mentioned in a post on the general discussion board that there are also AK-47 kits around. Anyone around here know of a reputable company that sells them. Also if you have any experience with them could you please share with the group. All informed responses, as always, are appreciated.

Tapco.com is a good company to deal with. about the only kits out there for a reasonable price are the Romanian AIM kits.

The "Kits", you are referring to are demilled import military arms that have the receiver destroyed. Unless BATF decides to release some of these that are already in storage in the US, there will be no more allowed with the original barrel after December. These parts kits are drying up fast as there are many builders stocking these parts. I personally bought 2 AMD 65 kits a couple of months ago and they were new unfired. Purchased the receivers from Ewbanks and a couple of days later I have two like new folding stock AMD 65s. If you have a notion to build an AK style rifle I strongly suggest you purchase the kit now, as the prices are continually increasing.
