Barska Spotting Scope?

Anyone know about Barska brand? Considering purchasing a Barska Black Hawk 20-60x60 spotting scope for use at the range. Cabela's carries it and seems to be decent price.

Any thoughts?

    Primer, Welcome to the forum. I do not own any Barska products, however, my sister bought a a pair of 10X40 binoculars for my father last Crhistmas and they are some of the clearest glasses I have ever looked through. Barska is made in Russia and if their other products are as good as those bino's, they are probably a decent deal for the $$. Russia is exporting quite a bit to the USA these days and most of it is decent quality. I am considering buying a Barska scope and see how it pans out.

    I picked one of the Barska Blackhawk 20-60x60's up at Cabela's Bargain Cave last week. Took it to the range yesterday and was surprised. I could see 17 and 270 holes out to 100. Saves some walking in the snow for $84 on a $120 list price!

    Barska will probably never be confused with fine optics, but they far surpass almost all of the Chinese optics.

    Most of the Barska's are made in China. It is a US company. I have 5 of their scopes, a pair of binoculars, and 5 of their red dots. Take a look at their website. They have a lot of stuff.

    I was going to try to see if I could see the 270 holes out at 200 yds with the Barska today. But at 3 degrees, and wind, I think it will have to wait until next Saturday! I'll update it then, but if I can see holes out that far, I'll be very satisfied.

    i've had that spotting scope for about a year i love it is clear at any mag. traveled it around in my suv since i bought them about 60,000 miles at about half of the miles being back country dirt roads still works for me also have two bin.s, one variable the tiny screw that adjusts the power finally came unscrewed sent it in and they fixed free of charge and reimbursed my my shipping fees after i complained about having to pay for it cause they were less than a year old. so the company is tops in my book. although there not quite as clear as my nokia bin. but for price and something that they stand behind and the fact that i can afford to beat them without costing me an arm and a leg if i ruined them they work for me
