Winchester 94 Value Question

I recently purchased a Winchester Model 94 with a serial number dating to 1907. I would estimate that it is about 90% of original finish. The gun has a saddle ring and the longer round barrel. I'm just wondering if anyone would know the estimated value. Thanks in advance.

    First, congrats on becoming the new owner of the old Winnie[^].

    OK, for edification purposes, what you actually have is a "Model 1894" versus a "Model 94", and it is commonly referred to as a Saddle Ring Carbine (SRC). I must admit that I am a bit puzzled by your statement "and the longer round barrel". All standard SRCs were manufactured with a 20-inch long round contour barrel, and a full length magazine tube... is that what you have?

    As for your question about the value, it is currently worth exactly what you just paid for it. How much more (or less) it is potentially worth in the collectors market remains to be seen.

    The first important piece of information that is lacking, is which of the five different available cartridges is it chambered for (e.g. 32-40, 38-55, 25-35 WCF, 30 WCF, or 32 WS)?

    Does it have a standard 20-inch barrel and full length mag. tube? What type of sights are on it?

    Frankly, I am a bit skeptical about your assessment of the graded condition. It is quite rare to find an original Model 1894 SRC that still has 90% of its original factory finish left on the receiver frame. If you can post a few detailed photos of the receiver and the proofmark stamps on the barrel and receiver ring, I can quickly tell you if it is original finish and just how much is really there.
