Smith and Wesson .38+P Airweight

I am looking at a new Smith and Wesson .38+P Airweight, hammerless aluminum alloy. The price at the dealer is $379.00. Can someone advise if this is a good price? Being such a light gun, how is accuracy? Thanks in advance for you assistance! -jeff

  As far as the price is concerned. Many of these revolvers are sold on the G.B. Auction Site. Do a search of the completed auctions where this type of revolver has "ACTUALLY BEEN SOLD". Quick enough you'll get an idea of what the fair market value is.
  
  
  This type of revolver is not sold on the basis of target accuracy. It's strictly a short range self-defense weapon. Reliability is the main factor you have to concern yourself with, regarding this type of handgun, not accuracy.

  Thank you very much for the responses! This will be a backup/concealed weapon. Throwing lead and making noise sometimes works to conclude an incident, but if I find it necessary to fire in defense, my intention is to eliminate the threat completely.

  I have found my little S&W snubbies to be great little guns and surprisingly accurate for such short barrels. I can't think of anything safer, simpler and more reliable for concealed carry.
