PA-63

I have had my PA-63 for over a year and have never had any trouble with it , now I can't get the slide back far enough to take it down. Could some one tell me what is wrong with it?

    I have a pistol and I do not have any idea what it is!?

    It looks like a PA-63, two-tone alloy frame. On the slide is the following: On the left side - "Selbstlade-Pistole Cal 9 Walther's Patent" with the Walther logo below it; on the right/ejection side is a serial number "N 10427" (the number is also on the grip below the trigger guard); the following markings are on the left side next to the trigger: .87; a shield with two wavey lines through the center with a "N" at the top; a circle with a "M" in it; and a marking shape similar to a heart with an "I" in the center. There are no other markings on the pistol. I was told it was a .380. Any ideas. Thanks.

    I made some substitutes by cutting down some shanked wood screws. The trigger pulls nicely now. But the original pins would be nice.

    Also, I find that the decocker is not functioning. When the hammer is cocked, the safety lever will not depress, so the hammer stays cocked.

    I compared it to my functioning PA-63, and found that the wedge-shaped lever just forward of the hammer, on the left side of the frame, is the part that gets engaged. It's functional on the good pistol, and not on the bad one. One the bad one, it pivots freely when the hammer is uncocked, so it's not jammed.

    BTT. I really would like to know if anyone knows about the decockers on this kind of gun, or any other PPK clone.

    Well, it'd be nice to get some detailed assembly/disassembly instructions, maybe I can see if some spring is improperly placed, causing the decocker problem.
