i saw the norinco AK today...report

its an under folder, looks new. marked siles n.y. no sling. blue mag. his front sight needs adjusting. its shooting 6" left @ 100yds and 12" left at 200. i see the screw under the front sight assy but i cant get a straight blade on it to slide it sideways! is there a special tool? got a link or know someone with one?

    Yes, there is a sight adjustment tool for an AK. Are you sure he has windage adjustable front sight? Is the rear sight not adjustable for windage?

    elevation only on rear. the front post is part of a cyl block of metal that can be moved l/r but not unless a screw is loosened.

    You use the tool to push the front sight to the side, or turn the post up or down to adjust base elevation. Once the base elevation is set, then you adjust the range with the rear sight.

    ok, i see and understand the tool, but it doesnt explain the set screw underneath the sight assy. must that screw be loosened or is it what causes friction when the tool is used to move the sight?
