Need some info on the Winchester 670

Need some info on the Winchester 670. Is it a good rifle? Is it a cheep Model 70? What would be a good price on a used one? Need some help thank you.

  Yes, the Winchester Model 670 is an inexpensive version of the Model 70 (absolutely no bells & whistles). As far as being a good hunting rifle, it is just that. I would expect that you should not have to pay more than about $250 for one in nice shape.

  I had a 670 in 30-06 for years and shot lots of deer with it. Accurate enough and has a wondefully smooth bolt but, as noted, no bells or whistles at all, very utilitarian. It's still shooting great 32 yrs later.
