410/45 long colt

Can Anyone help me with this one. A friend of mine has told me that Thomson made a single shot firearm that shot a 410 shotgun shell and a 45 long colt out of the same barrel. Any information on this subject would be greatly appreciated to settle this debate.

    Yes they did, I had one in the MId seventies, it was a contender series, and made for 45 long colt and you could put a adaptor on the end of the barrel and fire .410 shot gun shells thru it.They were single shot and had many barrels avilable for them.

    What ever you do, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIRE A .45LC with the Shot-Choke installed on the Barrel! It could result in serious injury or death!

    there is also one that is called a super comance that shots 410 and 45 lc they are not that much only $ 150 or so

    I have a T/C Contender 410/.45LC. Works fine. The 410 is awesome on rattlers out to about 15 feet. Only downside is having to remove the choke to fire .45. Also have to use automotive "anti-seize" compound on choke threads. Each shot tightens the choke a little tighter then when ready to fire .45 choke is hard to remove without the compound in place.

    Taurus is also coming out with a revolver late this year that can shoot 45lc, 410, and 44-40 if I recall. It looks pretty cool.

    Look at the Cobray's, most of them were of the .45/410 config. I shot the crap out of one and then gave it ot my brother and he's had it since and loves it as a little pocket rocket. The one i had is the same as this http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=37301505

    Howe about .410 slugs, choke or no choke? I use mine without but wonder if they may work better with.[8D]

    T/C also made a vent rib 10" 44mag barrel with a screw in choke tube, that had a flip up rear sight , use the rear sight for bullets or fold it down when using shot shells with the choke tube inplace ,, anybody ever see one of these or use one ??

    They make it in the Encore also. Love mine for rabbit hunting 15" barrel is nice to carry in a handgun [:D] they also made in 44mag and 357mag ( hot shots ) barrels.
