Help! .22LR Practice conversion kit for BERETTA 92
Anyone have or used one of these kits and what are pros and cons, for a beretta 92 and a colt 1911? Thanks, jeronimo.

Hello you did not state what brand of conversion unit . Is it made by BERETTA ? or PETER STALL ? or another brand ? I have used a number of conversion unit "MOST HAVE BEEN ON A 1911 TYPE " pistol but also on other frames SIG 210, H&K, Beretta, etc For the most part there are 2 problems one is the weight of the recoiling parts in relationship with the ammo and spring used plus how hard you hold the pistol and the biggest IMHO important factor the relationship of the centerline of the bore to the centerline of the top cartdridge as it sets in the latched magazine and also this top cartridge height in relationship to the part of the slide that feeds the cartridge from the magazine to the barrel. Throw in a new ejector and extractor and all are problems waiting to happen. A quality conversion unit will address these issues but a poor quality one will give you fits what might work on one frame may not work well on another. 0 -
I have a Ciener conversion kit for my 1911 and I have been very pleased with it. They have several kits for different models listed but I have no input on how they perform.
