RWS Scope??????

I found a 357 hand gun with what the owner says is a RWS 1.5x20 scope on top. I researched RWS and it is a airgun comp. which makes airguns, scopes and airgun accessories for airguns. Do they also make scopes for weapons? Thank you, J.

  Never heard of them, which does not mean that they do not make scopes for firearms, though I would be hard pressed to believe they make quality scopes for firarms. If it is a scope made for an airrifle it is the wrong scope for a centerfire handgun.

  I use one for my 10' contender .22. Probably about the same. says
  "mod 800s" on it. Works good. I have wondered also if it would work on a more powerful bbl like my 10" 30-30?[?]

  Hello as strange as it might seem There have been more normal firearm scopes wrecked by trying to use them on air rifles then the other way around . I have never used an air pistol scope on a cartridge fireing handgun I would look and see if RWS has a web site or 800 number for tech support number.

  RWS scopes are made in China. The RWS scopes have a lifetime warrenty I think? I am not sure of the quality, but they are made for the RWS pellet rifles. The two way recoil from these RWS pellet rifles will usually destroy a cheap rifle scope.
