Remington 1100 LW20 chokes

Jimmyjack- I had my LT20 barrel altered to accept Colonial Arms .675x44 double lead thread choke tubes. The barrel had to be cut back to about 25 1/2" to get the second rib support and thick enough barrel wall for the Colonial Thin Series chokes. At that time a green fiber optics front bead and a silver mid rib bead were also installed.
The gun now shoots up a blue streak at the trap range.
That bead is like a green flashlite. It contrasts well with any background and lets you know where the front of the barrel is.
I'm very happy with the results.

    Thanks, about what did it cost? Sounds like it could be more than a new barrel? Remember who did it for you?

    Yes,the name was Barnhill in Ashland Va 804-798-6142. The price was about $125 with three chokes. He was very sick a few years ago and might not still be in business. There's another gunsmith in Ashland on Rte 1 that also does this work.
    You might email Colonial Arms Inc on their website for gunsmiths in your area.
    Hi Viz has a line of these fiber optic sights. Some are magnetic and clip on or replace your existing bead. Walmart has these kits with a base and a selection of red and green fiberoptic rods.
