Need help for my cz52.

Just got this yesterday from Classic Arms, took it out today. Inserted the mag, feed the first round fine, and then it jammed about ever shot, either stove piped of would not eject the spent cartridge. I was using some Polish Mfg. Brass Case that came with the piece. Bad ammo? needs to be cleaned? Any help will he appreciated, thanks.

    You could try replacing the mag spring. Also, it couldn't hurt to replace the recoil spring. Check extractor function, too. See that the ejector isn't bent and misaligned. As for cleaning, you ought to be religious about that. As far as I'm concerned, my guns are gonna wear out from being cleaned too much before they are shot too much. [:D] But yeah, clean it, whenever you can.

    Try a box of the S&B ammo. Is it the empty case stove piping, or the live round? Empty case is weak ammo/too strong of spring. Live round is bad mag, extractor or feed ramp issue.

    Wel I did clean it before taking it out, maybe not enough. But this gun was purchased as in good to excellent condition.

    cheaperthandirt.com an ammunitionstore.com used to have it. They also make it for winchester. Do a search on google for sellier & bellot something should come up.

    Since this is milsurp firearm and you just purchased it, I would definitely strip and degrease as much as possible. The cosmoline crawls in everywhere and just because the importer took off the first half inch of it on the outside that does not mean they cleaned the internals, as that takes effort, care and time. Look espec. in the slide and mechanicals, recoil spring, firing pin, ect. Use kerosene,
    brake cleaner, whatever loosens and flushes it out, then dry and relube with your prefered gun oil. Cosmoline just doesn't 'wear off'
    and it can really slow things down.

    also take out the firing pin and clean the channel and pin well. http://www.surplusrifle.com/pistolcz52/disassemble/index.asp this site is very useful in stripping the cz52.hope this helps don

    The first thing I would suspect is ammo. Get good ammo made in the USA by the major manufacturers. If the problem continues then start with the pistol. I'd clean it regardless. Did you try more different magazines? Could be the other things listed above, but I start with a clean and properly lubed gun and good ammo from the USA! ~Bill

    For S&B ammo, look in the ammo auction section here on GB, i know ammo to go carrys it in his auctions at good prices and is great to deal with.
