Winchester 94AE 30-30 adding rounds

I purchased a new Winchester 94AE 30-30 a few years ago. I cannot add rounds to the magazine after it is has been initially loaded. There is always a round on the loading ramp blocking the loading gate and preventing additional rounds to be added to the magazine. Is this normal for this rifle or do I have a lemon?

    Something is wrong. The rounds in the magazine are not being held in place as they should be. I am not a gunsmith, but any qualified, competent smith should be able to fix it, or just pack it up and ship it back to Winchester.

    I would not ship a gun with loaded rounds in the magazine!!!!!!!!!!!![:(] [:(] Take it to a gunsmith.[:)]

    I dont think its loaded, looks to me like after he loads the magazine
    and chambers a cartidge, the next cartidge in line moves behind the loading gate
    preventing reloading until all rounds are expelled.

    If when you load it initially you don't push the round all the way into the mag tube you will have trouble adding additional rounds. Sometines when you are firing the will dislodge and this will have the same effect. Use the lever to empty it and start over again, if you still have the problem then take it to a gunsmith.

    Sorry bout that,it's a stage of my life i'm going thru it's called Old Age.[:D]I just assumed he loaded the rounds and could not unload them.[:)]
